Special Moment That You Enjoyed With Your Family

Last Saturday, was one of the most memorable days in these few years. That day, my family and I went to the Singapore Flyer, for a family event. As usual, the day started off as a boring one, waking up and doing work, but after my siblings and I finished our work, my father suggested, “Why don’t we go to the Singapore Flyer since we are all free?” That suggestion was so surprising that I nearly fell off my chair.

My mother was reluctant at first, but after our persistent pleas, she finally agreed. We were all as pleased as punch, this was a once in a blue moon event, as my father is always not in Singapore. In the blink of an eye, we were all packed and ready to go. However, the journey there seemed to be to be taking forever, as if the seconds had expanded into hours. Alas, we reached our destination. In a flash, my parents bought the tickets and we proceeded to the boarding platform.

“I’m sorry Sir, we cannot guarantee that.” The staff at the entrance of the Flyer’s capsule said. How outrageous! There was almost no one else insight except for us and another family but they would not allow each family to have a capsule for themselves. Furthermore, the other family also wanted to have an individual capsule for themselves but the staff was very stubborn, almost resembling a bull. Still,we had to get on the Flyer as we had already bought the tickets which were not refundable.

A few minutes later, we and the other family got on the same capsule. Then, it started to ascend. The movement was slight and inside the capsule, you could not even feel it. However, we could see that we were going up higher and higher and my little brother Cymon, was terrified to go near the windows of the capsule. We were amazed at the beautiful sight of Singapore although Singapore does not really have any thing like Mountains and others but the overview of all the development in the city was quite outstanding. I gazed in awe at the magnificent view and spotted some famous buildings including some hotels, shopping malls and business buildings.

At the highest point of the flyer, the capsule will stop moving and we will be able to relax and take many pictures of our surroundings and the outstanding view outside. We took many different types of pictures and even asked one gentleman from the other family to help us take a family picture. Then, we slowly began to descend and I pulled a prank on my brother by pushing him near to the edge. He screamed in terror and ran back to the benches, scared out of his skin.

After landing, we went to the souvenir shop and bought some souvenirs to remember this trip. Right after that, we went to Pan Pacific hotel to eat dinner at the fantastic Japanese restaurant there. However, the price was really outrageous! One slice of salmon cost a sum of six dollars and one piece of sushi costs about nine dollars. My father said that this was a rare occasion as we do not really get the chance to go out as a family as he is always overseas so it was okay to enjoy ourselves.

After having a big feast suit for a king, we happily went home. I would never forget that day where we enjoyed ourselves dearly, together, as one family.

The keychain I bought from the souvenir shop.

Unique name... ''Spider maki''.

The tiny piece of salmon that costs $6 (yes each piece is $6, you did not misread).

My favourite dish thus the picture.
